Saliu Mustapha Foundation hosts second Inter-Secondary School competition

The Saliu Mustapha Foundation recently orchestrated the triumphant second edition of the Inter-Secondary School Competition in Kwara State, underscoring its commitment to nurturing academic excellence and fostering talent among the youth. With the participation of 60 schools, this event not only showcased the intellectual prowess of the students but also provided a platform for them to shine.

The preliminary rounds, a testament to the Foundation’s dedication to inclusivity, were conducted concurrently across three zones: Kwara Central, Kwara North, and Kwara South. Each zone hosted 20 schools, engaging in spirited competition to secure a coveted spot in the finals. The fierce battles that unfolded during these preliminaries highlighted the depth of talent and the fervor for learning present in Kwara’s secondary schools.

Following intense deliberations, 10 schools from each zone emerged victorious, earning the right to advance to the grand finale. This culmination of academic prowess brought together 30 schools, all vying for top honors and recognition. The air was charged with excitement and anticipation as the finalists geared up to showcase their knowledge, skills, and creativity on the ultimate stage.

In a gesture of appreciation and encouragement, the Saliu Mustapha Foundation awarded cash prizes and scholarships to the top five positions in the competition. These rewards not only recognized the exceptional achievements of the students but also underscored the Foundation’s commitment to investing in the future of education. Moreover, special recognition was extended to the schools and teachers whose unwavering support and guidance contributed to the success of their students.

At the helm of this remarkable initiative was Project Coordinator Ahmed Ishowo Yakub, whose vision and leadership were instrumental in bringing the competition to fruition. His dedication and meticulous planning ensured that the event ran seamlessly, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.
